Banished 1.0.4

Banished is beautiful to look at. Busy workers run across the screen, wild game crosses the river, and fishermen cast their rods. Added to that are the four seasons and your fields, where you can watch the rhythms of the countryside come and go. Compared to this beauty, the few small bugs aren't so important. Patch 1.0.7 (beta) Here’s a new Banished beta for the modding community to test out. It adds 10 mod-usable resource flags and resource limits. It also adds the ability to add these limits to the game windows that use them, such as the status bar, limits, and town hall production/graph. It also has a new memory allocator that doesn’t have a.

The latest update to the the medieval city builder Banished opens up the Steam Workshop to all.

Banished is a nifty city builder, and since its release, Shining Rock has been focusing on bug fixes and developing the tools required for creating mods. Today the 1.0.4 update landed which is now “the first official release supporting mods”.

A new release of the mod kit has now been added to the mod page on the official site and other changes in this update include:

  • – Increased memory usage allowed for save games. This allows larger modded maps than default to be saved safely. However at some point very large maps will crash the game due to out of memory, or textures failing to be created.
  • – Trade UI now expands automatically for orders.
  • – Fix a bug that caused mods to become unreferenced in save games when opening the mod dialog in game and then pressing cancel.
  • – Fixed a bug that caused mods that should be unloaded to stay in memory if they were loaded at game start. This fixed random ghost buttons on the toolbar.
  • – Fixed tutorials not progressing properly.

There are some pretty cool mods up on the Steam Workshop, everything from Fish Farms to decorative items. If you’ve been playing the game or want to jump back in, now would be a good time to try out some of these game enhancing creations. Banished was a great looking title but lacked real depth so adding a few mods to your game should make it a little more interesting.

Unlimited Mines and Quarries mod for Banished.

Removes quarry and mine limits to get rid of those unusable landscapes.
Only new games will have subscribed mods enabled.
For existing files you have to load the save game -> pause -> mods -> activate this one.

This mod is compatible with any other mod besides the new colonial charter versions.
Try to place this mod above others in the load order if its not working.
